[This text, sent from a username that only shows up as glitches, arrives three days after Heatman and Quick both died in the brawl. The text is simultaneously sent out to Rock and Snake and Gemini and Flash and Gold Arm and Nickel almost as soon as he comes stumbling down to land at the base of the space bridge]
[ Recently Bass requested some important information. Who... is the strongest Cybertronian on this ship. He received a hot tip that it was 'Shockwave' but also 'not the Senator one'. There were a few thoughts that went through his processor. One... it was really dumb that there were two people here with the SAME NAME. It must get confusing! Two, while he does (surprisingly) know what a Senator is, he has no idea what a Senator looks like. Do they wear signs? Bass guesses probably not.
This leads him to one conclusion: He has to fight BOTH of them to make sure he's actually fighting the strong one.
This leads him to a second conclusion: He has no idea where Shockwave lives. He could ask for direction, ask if anyone knows... but that begs the question... If they know how strong Bass is will they even tell the truth?
There is now one solution: He has to canvas the ship himself and check every inhabited room he comes across.
So there's the backstory. And that's why Bass, armored up in his winged Treble armor (being able to fly covers ground quicker!) is pounding aggressively at your door.
[It's probably best not to question how they got into the R2's systems again. Or why they waited a monthish.
The fact that this is text makes it near impossible to tell who is who.]
Soooo... word on the 'net is Renoih's looking to reward those who stopped Renne from killing Nocri. Lots of bastards coming forward, but none yet have claimed it. Think a few have been executed because they misgendered Renoih. You really don't do that unless you have a deathwish. Mitsuki might be looking too, but we haven't heard anything. :(
You should go for it. You need all the luck in the 'verse given what you lot are.
Dunno what happened to Renne outside she's no longer on the station. Maybe dead? But Eh. She's rich. Probably bought her way out of trouble. We got another Sunstride now though. Zavaih. He's like, mid-tier in the Pride. Eh, he's ok. Not grabby, but still stuck up like ll rich idiots. We think we can train him to be better, though. ;)
Maeb showed up with Clíodhna and like half her retainers in tow a three shifts after you left. Anyway, Maeb pitched a fit over the loss of her property. Apparently, one of the turtlekin eggs held an albino. That's already rare, but being a Yangtze on top of it? That's like super rare and stuff ppl'd pay out the nose for. Cunts.
We don't even want to know where Maeb found those eggs. Last we knew, they were like, either extinct, or fiercely protected. We got money on her killing whoever was looking after them. Poor fuckers. But poor us. She made off with a bunch of stuff in recompense for this after kicking up a stink about its our fault. Fucking entitled bitch. Ain't our fault. Does she know how many ships come in an out every day and now we gotta deal with a bunch of people after us because they shit they wanted was taken by Maeb.
The Cybertronian experts - a chatkin and a jellykin -scyphozoan branch (you can tell by the daemon-orbs)- who showed up were also pissed but whatever. Kaeli took umbrage to them and how they tried to bully there way into shit, so did Rosa, and well. Airlock accidents are fun. (: (we're pretty sure Rosa is a Changeling at this rate.)
Pretty sure the jellykin survived, tho; so be careful if you got chasing whatever that relic was. Scypho's daemons look fragile, but are tougher than ours. Don't help most of them hide 'em, too. And the fragger's claim they came from a water world, but we're pretty sure they mean a gas planet. Wouldn't be the first time translation issues have cropped up.
If you got Q's, we'll answer them, but we can't keep this open forever.
I suppose a reward is no issue, though I suppose If it means seeing Ophidious again I could take a chance to retrieve it. After all, I gave the intel over, what ever the reward is I'll just pass on to Cayde and Magnus.
I have no need for rewards like that.
Though, that hunt still is on my mind. I wonder if others were trapped in it to be hunted too. Do you have any intel on that, it seems quite spotty to kill something sentient. Not that I care in any course of it. But I figure my ship mates may feel differently. Especially the red badges.
Uh. Renoih doesn't give rewards lightly, nor do they allow them to be traded to others...
[Somehow, the text manages a heavy feeling of disbelief and an 'uhhhh...' look.]
It's The Grand Wild Hunt. You lot seriously live under a rock or something? We know you're not the most caught up tincans in the galaxy, but there's not caught up and there's forgets critical info level of dumb.
[Heatman sends out these messages one by one to all of the Wilybots (...and also Iceman, who he likes and is grateful to for protecting him, and therefore has decided is an honorary Wilybot), though he copy/pastes each one, finding the idea of writing up a message like this more than once legitimately excruciating]
hi i have one question or maybe a few questions
do you think we are tools and weapons or do you think were people
doctor wily always told me we were tools and weapons it wasnt a secret he had it inserted into my code i am listed in the inventory cross references in the same section as all of his lab equipment
i keep telling everyone that we aren't really people that we just
were very talkative hammers
but nobody agrees with me when i tell them
i told it to mister magnum ace a little while ago and he said we aren't weapons or tools he said were kids
i dont think so
kids are allowed to matter to have choices and we dont
[ There's been an odd, blurry shape picked up by the search snakes. Shadowman has been careful not to be caught - he is always careful - but any Snakeman is a master hunter, and he expects no less from this one. Sooner or later, the watching crimson optics would catch him.
It's greatly within his interests to make sure he makes this alternate hunter's aquaintance before then.
So a search snake's own shadow sneaks up behind it, a hand darting out to cover the extension's optics and another to keep it from biting him. He will apologize for it later; he is sure the other Wily number will understand Shadow's inclination for secrets. Instead, he merely follows its tugging, its drive to return home.
He already knew where Snake lived. This was simply a warning he was coming.
The knock is polite when it comes, and carefully - petting at the search snake's jaw - he lets it see where it is at last. Nearly home, little thing. ]
[ Snake's on alert since one of his closer little ones went dark. It wasn't a lose of data, it wasn't crushed under the weird of cybertronian pedes.
No its Dark! Pure Darkness and a tug of instinct. Snake skuttles up the wall and then through the vents of Gemini's room. He's quick, he knows something is coming and if it is friend or foe he is uncertain yet.
Ra Moon is always a potential now. Quick is unfortunately a promise Ra Moon will try to steal his soldier children back.
And as Snake absent of sound scurries along the pipes just above his door he hides in the shading of the metal... watching something else shadowy traverse.
His Shadow is not like this one, too tall, too tired. but.. he is still the resemblance of a sibling.
And so Snake jumps from above to below. With an obvious click of his tail on the metals to alert. ]
You know. Its rude to snatch up snakes like that. You're quite lucky you covered its optics... smart as always, Shadow. I assume at least you are the alternative of my brother.
[ Shadow doesn't even flinch. Instead he turns in measured calm towards Snakeman, not surprised in the least, and gently hands back the little creature. With it safely back in the right hands, he dips into a deep bow. ]
Apologies, Snakeman. I know you are... Sensitive about them. But I needed your attention. [ And what quicker way than to interfere with Snake's extra eyes?
As Shadow straightens into a stand, that one of his own still closed, he tilts his head in a nod of confirmation. ] Just as you are an alternative of the third number I know. Heatman's younger sibling, yes? [ He steps forward, but to Snake's side, not an approach; respecting the hunter means respecting the hunter's space, and Shadowman does so with practiced care. ] Better to present myself to you, rather than be caught.
[ Another difference, just in how this one carries himself. The Shadow Snake knows may hold a current of youthful impulse just like the rest of them, and a thread of old loyalties to boot, but this one - at least for now - is all practiced warrior. There's no visible shadow blades here. Merely the wicked sharp katana sheathed across this ninja's back. ]
Heatlamp, no. ...you misunderstand. It was a trick yes. but it was meant to not alert your sensitivities... I didn't want you upset and when Flash asked me to distract you to keep you from becoming worried...
I apologize, little Heatlamp. Please do not think poorly of me...
[ It is a good thing Snake is alone, shuffling through the vents before hearing a click of digitized alerts.
He stops, after all it is the sound he uses for Elec. Which means important things... Even if it was just Elec sending silly sound bites of guitar riffs... he'd stop to check.
But this time... when he opens, it... it is not a guitar riff waiting for him. No what is meant for him is... a file...
And when he clicks it... He yelps and loses his datapad out of his hand, face warm on its own accord...]
[ When both Snake and ALL his search snakes are away a Duck is left for him. It's red and black and has little gold lightning bolts on it. It will also shock you if not handled with care. ]
[ Snake investigates. There's something wrong in the room... and as he skuttles low to the ground he comes across the duck. His optics widen in intigue.
Snatching it and then making a yelp as it shocks his fingers. Scurrying away up the wall and into the vent to stalk it out before realizing...
Oh this is a toy!]
The one where Snake Man gets a particularly interesting visitor!
It was an awful shame that none of the doors within the dormitory hall were labeled. Without anything to help guide the poor little Shaymin on their way around, they were practically lost!
But hey, at least their have their trusty little nose to rely on, right?
As the Christmas Shaymin diligently let their nose guide them through the darkened hallways, they noticed something . . . rather off within the corner of their tiny, little eye. At the side, the door appears to be slid open, and there was nothing but darkness within.
Narrowing their eyes, the Shaymin toddled a tad closer to the opening, hoping to take a tiny peep of what was inside that room. From within, there was nothing but darkness.
Unknowingly, as the Christmas Shaymin began to sniff around their surroundings from below, the vent above them was already open just for the taking . . . but who exactly will take it, though?
Oh this is a surprise, thinks the thing in the dark. How strange not to see a sibling or his datemate Elec come through but instead. Something small and looking like it'll startle quite easily. Thus Snakeman skuttles along the dark walls, closer slowly with barely a sound. Before a hand reaches down and gently puts a pressure down.
As if attempting to pet. But somehow it feels more antagonistic.
"Who's letting more animals on the ship wander around unsupervisssssed~." He hisses.
H-Hi! It took me a long while to figure out how to contact you through the communication device, but I would like to apologize for biting you on the finger from way back when I first met you. A boy named "Rock" — i-is that his name? Not sure if I remember exactly — told me that you were just trying trying to say "hi" in your own special way and I didn't realize that was your intention of doing so until now.
A-Again, I deeply apologize for causing you too much pain on your good finger and I hope we will be able to settle it. I let my fear, especially after getting picked on by that big blue-and-gold bully robot in the Observatory room, get the better of me and I hope there is a way that I can make it up for you, Snake Man.
Thank you and have a lovely day out there . . .
